The shelter is situated north of the town of Chania/CreteGreece. Presently there are about 120 dogs and 30 cats which need to be taken care of daily. All of these animals are rescues from the rough streets of Crete and would most probably not be alive if there were not at Angels Hope. Life as an unwanted or stray dog in Greece is very difficult. The outcome usually death through starvation, poisoning, stabbing and other unspeakable methods.
